We publish figures. Some of them will be wrong. This page explains what we do about that.
Reporting an error
Email contact@fap-craft.com with the article URL and what you think is wrong. If you have a source, include it. We read everything sent to this address.
What happens next
We check the claim against the primary source. If we were wrong, we fix the article and log the correction below. If we were right, we reply and explain why, and often improve the wording that caused the confusion.
We aim to respond within three business days and to correct factual errors as soon as they are confirmed.
What counts as a correction
A correction is a factual error: a wrong figure, a misstated rule, a source that does not say what we said it said. Corrections are logged on this page with the date and what changed, and noted at the bottom of the article itself.
An update is new information replacing accurate but outdated information, such as a rate that changed for the new year. Updates change the “last verified” date on the article and are noted in the article’s changelog, but are not logged here as errors.
A clarification is a rewrite for accuracy of impression rather than fact. Where the change is significant, we note it on the article.
What we do not do
We do not quietly delete or edit an incorrect claim and pretend it was never there. If a figure was wrong on a page you read, the page will say so.
We do not remove articles because someone dislikes the conclusion. We remove or amend them because they are wrong.
